Register before 12/7 for free entry to a Blitz practice tournament on 12/12!

Refunds subject to a $5 processing fee. No refunds after December 14, 2020. In addition, no additional registrations will be accepted after the deadline on 12/14.

Each participant in the event will play in all five rounds using a Game/30 format (i.e., each player has 30 minutes to complete their moves resulting in a maximum game duration of 60 minutes).

Section trophies will be awarded to 1st-3rd place; sections will be determined by the number of entries. Section trophy winners will be contacted by Washington Elementary Chess Champions to coordinate receiving their award. Please be aware that if a trophy winner lives outside of the Tri-Cities region (Pasco-Kennewick-Richland) that there might be a significant delay in receiving the award.

K-6 Elementary students who receive 3.0 points qualify for the State Elementary Chess Championships.

Check-in will open at 8:30 a.m. All registered participants must check in by 9:00 a.m. Late arrivals may be dropped from the tournament. The first round will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Subsequent rounds will begin immediately after the ending of the previous round.

Tournament login information will be sent to all registered players approximately three days before the tournament on the 19th. In addition, a Zoom link will be emailed to all players prior to the start of play. Please make sure that your computer can support Zoom's video requirements.

By registering for this tournament you are agreeing to abide by the following ChessKid.com Fair Play Agreement:

- No chess programs or engines (e.g. Chessmaster, Fritz, Komodo, Houdini, Stockfish, Chessbase with any active UCI engine, etc.) can be used to analyze positions in ongoing games at any time.
- In Live Chess ("Fast Chess" "Play vs Kid"), no outside assistance OF ANY KIND is permitted.
- In Daily Chess ("Slow Chess" turn-based games with several days per move), you may consult any resource which is not engine-based. This includes books, opening databases (including the chesskid.com Explorer) for [www.chesskid.com/openings|opening moves], and thematic games (though not their engine analyses).
- Tablebases are NOT allowed. You may not consult an engine, or another human, to provide an opinion on the opening database, tablebases, self-preparation or analysis that would relate to a particular game-in-progress on chesskid.com.
- Fixing game results by arranging games, playing with multiple accounts or losing intentionally is against the rules.
- Do not let anyone else play on your account! This is strictly against the rules!
