Fairhaven Middle School is excited to announce its second chess tournament! It will be held at Fairhaven Middle School on December 12th, 2026! Don’t miss out! Trophies, medals, door prizes, Upset prizes, chess, friends and fun… even for friends and family!! Sponsored by Fairhaven PTSA, Ovn Wood Fired Pizza, WECU and Madrona Residential Real Estate!
Special note for FAMILY & FRIENDS: Bingo section will be available for friends and family to participate while they wait for their chess players to play their matches. $10 registration and prizes! Bingo will start around 11 am and go until prizes are won! Limited space available. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to donate a prize or volunteer for this event!
**Tournament Schedule: **
Check-in opens: 9:45 am
Check-in closes: 10:15 am
1st Round: 10:45 am
Each round will take approximately 1 hour, with a small break in between rounds for pairings.
There will be no formal break for lunch, but Ovn Wood Fired Pizza will be available around 12:30. Pizza, PTSA bake sale, and additional concessions will be available for purchase on site. Cash or Venmo accepted.
Awards ceremony to be held soon after the completion of all games, approximately 4 pm. Top three finishers in each section will receive a trophy!
5 Round Swiss, NWSRS Rated, No Elimination, WA Elementary State Qualifier.
