Notes from the Event Director
Come join us for a fun day of chess competition! This is a K–12 tournament. We will award individual and team trophies based on the number of participants in each grade level or section, with at least 1st–3rd place trophies awarded per grade level or section.
Each participant will play five rounds using the SwissSys pairing system (S, C, O tiebreaks). Sections may be organized by grade level and/or rating, depending on the number of registrations.
FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE! CASH ONLY, PLEASE.
PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENTS Please check in with your chess coach before registering.
REGISTRATION FEES
$15 per player — until two weeks before the tournament
$20 per player — 7–14 days before the tournament
$25 per player — beginning the week of the tournament (late registration)
We expect this tournament to fill, so please register early and submit payment promptly.
Online registration will close when the tournament reaches its maximum capacity of 260 K–12 players or at 12:00 p.m. PST on the Thursday before the tournament, whichever comes first.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds are subject to a $5 processing fee.
No refunds will be issued after October 22, 2026.
